Selling a stock tank with a drinker for smaller livestock (pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, etc.
) I put a new valve on last spring and used it over the summer with no issues for hogs.
It worked as it should until I drained it for winter -- I have no reason to believe it wouldn't work the same for you.
