*Responsibilities:* - Oversee daily restaurant operations, including customer service, food preparation, and staff management - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and attention to detail - Recruit, train and supervise employees to provide exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation - Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimize productivity - Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally - Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment *More Duties:* - Ensure Health and Safety Codes are met.
- Recruit, train and supervise employees.
Carl’s Tavern employs underage youth.
State and Federal guidelines must be followed.
- Assist in scheduling employees through 7 shifts program.
- Learn the POS system and how to operate from the back and front end.
- Handle weekly cash deposit, insure proper change for POS terminals.
- Handle customer complaints/respond to online reviews.
- Assist in menu planning for drinks & food.
Ensure pricing is a good value for the customer while profitable for the house.
- Assist in marketing special activities that drive in business.
- Oversee stock levels of food and alcohol – order supplies as necessary (Diane will order food & alcohol).
Meet Beer trucks if needed.
- Assist in marketing alcohol catering to off-site locations.
- Physically able to work 40-45 hours per week.
Occasionally lifting 40+ pounds may be required.
- Train each position.
Covering for team members is a constant job.
- Problem solve.
- Must have a Serv Safe Managers Certificate.
- Must have taken a Serv Safe bartenders’ class & be certified in the State of Nebraska.
- Take yearly training in food, sanitation, and alcohol training to achieve high performance.
*Experience:* - Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar role - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Proven experience in shift management, including opening and closing procedures - Knowledge of catering operations and banquet services is highly desirable - Familiarity with kitchen operations and food safety regulations - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and vendors - Strong problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges in a fast-paced environment The General Manager position offers competitive pay based on experience.
