```Overview```
As an assistant director, parents, teachers and your director will look to you for answers, direction, and assistance.
You will be intrusted with a wide range of tasks that will be essential to the smooth running of the center.
This is a full time, non-exempt, position with a 12-month employment base.
It is expected this postition will require approximatley 40 hours per week, average, including meetings, in-service education and peer group meetings.
It is understood that some events/programs will require greater time and energy demands.
In-service training annually includes but is not limited to the foloowing: Physical Development, Cognitive Learning, Communication, Creative Learning, Self Esteem, Social Development, Guidance, Family Relationships, Program Management and Professionalism.
This position reports to St.
Pauls Cornerstone ELC Director.
```Responsibilities```
- Assist the Director in strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
- Manage day-to-day operations and ensure efficient workflow
- Oversee budgeting and financial management activities
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Educate staff on best practices in education administration
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, students, and community members
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members
```Qualifications```
- Previous management expirience is preffered but not required
- Ability to work with 50+ staff with different needs and personalities
-General office management skills
- Detail oreinted proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, spreadsheets, and Google platforms, ProCare, Brightwheel, Indeed, Integra
- Ability to read and adhere to the Cornerstone ELC Policy and Procedure Manual
- Ability to communicate with the Director and staff of Cornerstone ELC
-Ability to positively represent St Pauls Lutheran Church
'' Must have one of the following"
-Early Childhood Development Certificate
-Have a High School Diploma or GED and 1500 clock hours of verifiable experience in an organized group activities for children age birth to 13 as indicated by a positive reference from a former employer
