Terminal Manager
Summary:
The Terminal Manager oversees all production plant and/or terminal operations by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinates at our Hastings, NE location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Oversees all day-to-day production plant and terminal operations, including budgets, safety, inventory control, expenditures and asset requests.
Supervises terminal personnel and procedures.
Helps in movement of barges and rail, as applicable to location.
Coordinates logistics of product delivery to terminals by handling distribution of products stored and loaded in and out of the terminals.
Establishes operating procedures for incoming shipments, indicating storage tanks and warehouse facilities to be used.
Assists in formulating policies for distribution of products where applicable.
Other duties that may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises plant and terminal employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least two years related experience and/or training in fertilizer production, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
