Provide oversight of pipeline maintenance activities to ensure appropriate resources are applied to District priorities.
Provides leadership and direction to staff, engages staff in performance management to develop short- and long-range plans, goals and objectives.
Ensure implementation of the Contractor Safety Management Program Assist in the development and implementation of operating and capital projects within the district.
Ensure region input is provided to all project teams executing work that will impact operations through each phase of the project including design, construction, commissioning, and transition to allow seamless project integration.
Identify and implement risk reducing initiatives and recommend procedural changes to pipeline operations within the Express Platte Region to enhance operations excellence.
Aid Business Development on acquisition, expansion, or other development projects as requested.
Participate in regulatory audits and review regulator initiatives for implementation into procedures Maintain the Public Awareness Program for all appropriate agencies and contacts (Local ER teams, police, fire, etc.
).
Act as Incident Commander/Operations Section Chief or fill other key roles in the Incident Command Structure during emergency response activities.
Provide 24-hour emergency response and operations call-out support including coverage for the Regional On-Call Manager.
Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations affecting pipeline operations.
Who You Are: Related university degree and 7 years of experience OR 9 years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Shown project management skills and logistical coordination skills.
Contract administration skills related to budget coordination, management, contractor oversight and inspection.
Ability to comprehend and apply technical & engineering concepts including material standards and regulatory codes and Standards.
A thorough understanding of and focused adherence to Company safety standards, Company policies, and operation and maintenance procedures.
Working Conditions: Field Office environment with frequent travel to stations within the Holdrege District Leadership Team involvement is expected with regular travel to corporate and field offices Flexibility required to manage multiple projects, work priorities, fieldwork schedules, and travel.
Position frequently requires quick decision making under driven conditions.
Works independently with little day-to-day direction.
