*Position Overview*
York County is accepting applications for a Maintenance Director with an application deadline of Wednesday, April 17th, 2024.
The Maintenance Director will oversee, manage, and perform a variety of routine and more complex building and maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other skills.
Performs snow removal, grounds maintenance and both emergency and non-emergency repairs.
Work independently to satisfy the request of elected officials.
Responsible for department budget.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: * Regular repair and maintenance activities involving electrical, plumbing systems, carpentry and painting.
* Inspections of building’s exterior, roofs, boilers, electrical generator, heating and cooling loop systems.
* Remodeling activities, completing a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks.
* Snow and ice removal at County facilities.

) * General ground maintenance activities, including mowing lawns, landscaping, brush removal, leaf removal, pruning trees and seeding grass.
* Monitors the condition of the of buildings and related mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
* Coordinate annual safety and compliance inspections.

fire alarm, fire extinguisher, elevator) * Respond 24/7 to emergency repairs.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.
* Help develop and implement specifications for building maintenance and remodel projects.
* Work directly with subcontractors to accomplish building maintenance and remodel projects.
* Making sure the housekeeping staff have the tools and materials they need to perform their jobs.
* Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced in accordance with manufactures specifications and company guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
* Supervises housekeeping staff and oversees all aspects of the Maintenance Department, including budget, scheduling, training, safety and quality control.
*Education and/or Experience* * Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
